    EULA 2026-07-02: Summary of changes

    This change to our EULA reflects the development license activation that was introduced in Kirby 5.5.

    In particular, we have changed the following:

    Changes

    • We now allow in Kirby to activate a free development license. Kirby activates this license through the Panel or our license hub and renews it regularly and automatically.
    • Because a Development Installation must only be accessible by a restricted number of users, we clarified that we may check during the renewal whether an installation is publicly accessible. If it is, it does not qualify as a Development Installation and requires a paid license.
    • We added the development license activation and renewal to the list of licensing features that may not be altered or circumvented.

    Privacy

    • The regular renewal means that a Development Installation contacts our license hub from time to time. You can find details on the transmitted data in our privacy guide and our privacy policy.
